Hej!
Welcome to Kvarn Bakehouse, a micro bakery in Crantock, on the North coast of Cornwall. I'm Amelie, Swedish mother of two and sustainability professional turned baker.
Kvarn means “mill” in Swedish, a nod to my heritage and childhood memories, and a reflection of my commitment to sustainability and real bread.
A few days each week, my kitchen turns into a small bakery. I get to meet wonderful people who stop by to collect their breads and buns — and I get to do what I love.
I hope I’ll have the chance to treat you, your family, friends or colleagues to my bakes — whether it’s a loaf of sourdough or one of the Swedish classics: cinnamon or cardamom buns, wreaths, or braids.
Thank you for stopping by.
Amelie

Week day breads, weekend treats. Collection from Crantock, Cornwall
“MY MISSION IS TO OFFER REAL SOURDOUGH BREAD AND AUTHENTIC SCANDINAVIAN BAKES"

Baking sourdough breads isn't just a passion of mine. It's a craft, it fosters connection between people and the land, celebrates tradition, and supports a healthier food culture.
I believe that breaking bread together can be a small but powerful act of community.

COLLABORATIONS
February sees Kvarn Bakehouse venture beyond the village and into town.
A new collaboration with Milk Café in Newquay means you’ll now find Kvarn’s cinnamon and cardamom buns freshly baked there on weekends.
Alongside this, Kvarn is delighted to be collaborating with Sprout Health Foods, where a selection of Kvarn sourdough loaves will be available from midday on most Thursdays.
